Dogs vs Wolves: A Canid Myth

Welcome, fantasy and adventure fans, to the website for my new novel Dogs vs Wolves:  A Canid Myth.

In the book, you’ll meet Evy, a young female white Labrador, and Freki, a young wolf prince.  Join them as they navigate their coming-of-age, and growing but forbidden attraction to each other, against the backdrop of a looming war between dogs and wolves.

These aren’t the wolves of fairy tales.

Freki’s dad Maikoh is the wolf “Datu” and leader of the wolf packs.  He’s convinced dogs and their Tall Ones (the humans) are a threat to the wolf “brand” and their long-term security.  He sees war as the only solution.  His own wife, the beautiful Tikaani, disagrees with him, but Maikoh is willing to go this alone if she can’t change his mind.

At the climax, the characters learn that things aren’t what they seem, secrets don’t stay secret forever, and the world they know isn’t what they think.  Along the way, you’ll also meet sinister coyotes, a mischievous cat, social media-obsessed grizzly bears, a sultry snow leopard, and a gigantic tattooed wolf with a mysterious past.

How will these stories end?  Does war happen, and if so who wins?  Will Evy and Freki end up together, or will old distrust and prejudices keep them apart?  Who is this giant wolf?  And what is a cat doing in this story anyway?

I invite you to read the manuscript to find out.
